Challah

Challah, Whole Wheat Challah, Mini Challah, Ceremonial Challah
Susie’s challah is utterly delicious, no matter how you slice it. With six braids, it looks strikingly elegant.

“Honey-glazed and delectable, challah is my signature product. I’ve been baking it for over 30 years. It’s made with 100% canola oil, so it is dairy free; there are no trans fats and it defrosts well  (it can be frozen for 3 months!). If you follow the instructions for reheating it will be perfect. I also make a whole wheat version that has about 1/3 whole wheat flour. And I bake 4-ounce mini-challahs (a great Bar or Bat Mitzvah table favor), 20-ounce standard challahs, and 4 ½ lb. ceremonial challahs.”

Honey Buns / Challah Buns

“A 2-ounce version of my challah, these spiral rolls are a family favorite. Just put one in each back pack in the morning and when snack time comes at school, the honey bun is ready to eat. My kids tell me other kids at school ask for them. Adults tell me they are grateful for the 2-ounce size because it’s just too easy to start eating a challah and suddenly find half of it consumed. Like the challah, these are available in plain or whole wheat.”

    Hi Susie,

I had the opportunity to try the Challah bread today for the first time and it was a pure delight. It looks good, it smells good and it tastes good. I enjoyed having it with my morning tea. Encore, encore!
